HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Res 310 - 1969-03-05 . . . . . RESOLUTION NO. 310 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH APPROVING VARIANCE NO. V-14-69. (SMITH) WHEREAS, in the matter of Variance Application No. V-14-69, the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does report as follows: 1. Subject request was initiated by Nicholas E. Smith, 125 13th St., Seal Beach, through his representative, Mrs. Cathleen Finn of the same address. 2. Subject property is described as Lot 25, Block 12, Bsy City Tract. Street address is 125 13th St., Seal Beach. 3. Subject proposal is to construct two single family units, with two garages, and the second story of the rear unit encroaching into the rear yard setback on a lot zoned R-3 Multiple Residential. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission findings are as follows: 1. Granting of this variance would not be detrimental to the area. General appearance of the area would be improved by removal of an existing building. 2. Similar variance have been granted in the past for the second story to encroach into the rear yard. 3. Public hearing was postponed with no prejudice to the applicant past the effective date for increased off-street parking requirements. 4. No protests were received. 5. This request will not adversely affect the General Plan. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does hereby approve Variance No. V-14-69 as submitted.
