RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SEAL BEACH GIVING NOTICE OF FAILURE
TO COMPLY WITH CONDITIONS OF VARIANCE APPROVAL.
(FRANKLIN, V-1-69, RESOLUTION NO. 275)
WHEREAS, in the matter of the approval of Variance No. V-1-69 by Resolution No. 275,
the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does report as follows:
1. Variance V-1-69 was approved by Resolution No. 275 on January 15, 1969, for
Neil Franklin, 1000 Pacific Coast Highway, Seal Beach, permitting installation
of a free standing pole sign one foot nine inches from the exterior side
property line in lieu of the required five feet subject to the following
conditions:
a. A street tree and street tree well shall be located in the parkway
southwest of the 10th Street driveway.
b. Additional landscaping shall be installed on the site.
c. Price signs shall be mounted on poles seven feet above ground.
d. All tires and trash shall be removed from the alley right-of-way
within thirty days.

e. One exterior tire display may be located outside of the building but not
further toan five'feet from the'building exterior.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission findings are as follows:
1. Property owner has not adhered to the required conditions (a), (b) and (c).
2. In addition, large unauthorized advertising signs have been installed on
the building.
NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Seal
Beach does hereby direct that the property owner shall comply with said conditions
of Resolution 275 and shall remove presently unauthorized signs by May 1. 1969 or
said Variance V-1-69 shall be considered null and void.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 16th day of April, 1969.
