RESOLUTION NO. 324 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH APPROVING VARIANCE V-18-69 TO INSTALL PUMP ISLAND CANOPIES AT AN EXISTING SERVICE STATION. (SHELL OIL CO.) WHEREAS, in the matter of Variance Application No. V-18-69, the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does report as follows: 1. Subject case was initiated by Shell Oil Co., Box 7575, Long Beach, California, as the authorized representatives for the owner of a portion of the property, Mrs. Jessie Segna. 2. Subject property is described as Lots 35, 37, 39, 41 and 43 of Block 208, Stanton and Lothian's First Addition. Street address is 347 Main St. 3. Subject request is to install island covers encroaching into the five foot setback. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission findings are as follows: 1. Other stations in the immediate area have island covers. 2. Height of cover would preclude their being a hazard. 3. Applicant has shown good faith in improvement of appearance of site to basically conform with the City's development and perfo~nce standards. 4. Applicant agreed to replace wood fence on interior side with a block wall no more than 42" high, enclose the trash area, and install no signs on the island covers. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does hereby approve Variance V-18-69 subject to the conditions agreed upon in finding No. 4 above.
