RESOLUTION NO. 326 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH DENYING VARIANCE V-22-69 TO CONNECT TWO EXISTING BUILDINGS ON SEPARATE LOTS. (SERBAN) WHEREAS, in the matter of Variance Application No. V-22-69, the Planning Commission does report as follows: 1. Subject case was initiated by John and Mary Louise Serban, 1107~ Seal Way. 2. Subject property is described as Lots 15 and 16, Block E, Tract No. 1009. Street addresses are 1105 and 1107 Seal Way. 3. Subject request is to connect two existing buildings on separate parcels to give appearance of a single building with a court. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission findings are aa follows: 1. Similar facade had been added at 1405 & 1407 Seal Way. Appplicant informed this had been done without approval. 2. Addition of this type would not necessaryily upgrade the area and could deny access for emergency equipment. 3. This procedure would allow an owner to avoid providing the required sideyards for development of a 50' parcel. 4. This would be a grant of privilege and defeat the purpose of the general plan. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does hereby deny Variance Application No. V-22-69 based on the findings above. ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 4th day of June, 1969.
