RESOLUTION NO. 327
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SEAL BEACH APPROVING USE VARIANCE NO.
UV-3-69 FOR CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION OF A
RECREATION VEHICLE STORAGE YARD. (APOLLO DEVELOPMENT)
WHEREAS, in the matter of Use Variance application No. UV-3-69, the Planning
Commission of the City of Seal Beach does report as follows:
1. Subject application was initiated by Apollo Development Corporation, 1104 E.
17th St., Santa Ana.
2. Subject property is described as all that portion of that certain 100 foot
strip of land in Lot C-l of the Partition of Rancho Los Alamitos described
in the deed to Pacific Electric Railway Company, recorded November 10, 1903
in Book 92, page 349 of Deeds in the office of the Recorder of said Orange
County, bounded northwesterly by the northwesterly line of Rancho Los
Alamitos and southeasterly by the northeasterly prolongation of the
northwesterly line of Tract No. 6346, as shown on a map recorded in Book 251,
pages 8 to 10, inclusive, of Miscellaneous Maps, records of said Orange
County.
3. Subject request is to permit construction and operation of a recreation
vehicle storage yard.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission findings are as follows:
1. This use would aid community by keeping vehicles of this type off of the
streets or occupying garage space.
2. Size, shape and surroundings of proposed site preclude the feasibility of
any other type of use.
3. A dedication of 10 feet along the northwesterly side of the site to the
City of Seal Beaeh for future development of 1st Street.
4. Applicant would provide drainage from the oil- company tank farm to the
flood control channel.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Seal
Beach does hereby approve Use Variance UV-3-69 subject to the conditions shown
in Findings Nos. 3 and 4 and subject to affirmation by the City Council.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 4th day of June, 1969.
