HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Res 328 - 1969-06-04 . . . . . RESOLUTION NO. 328 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH APPROVING VARIANCE V-23-69 FOR YARD ENCROACHMENTS. (JENSEN) WHEREAS, in the matter of Variance Application No. V-23-69, the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does report as follows: 1. Subject application was initiated by John R. Jensen, 5855 Naples Plaza, Long Beach. Authorized representative is Dwight E. Bennett, Architect, 3929 Long Beach Blvd., Long Beach. 2. Subject property is described as Lots 18, 20 and the Southerly half of Lot 22 in Block 212 of Bay View Tract. Street address is 320 12th St. 3. Subject request is to construct a 12 unit complex with upper stories on the two sides abutting alleys encroaching into the setback and a ,four foot sideyard along approximately 30% of the interior sideyard. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission findings are as follows: 1. It is an exceptionally well designed apartment complex and would not be detrimental to the General Plan. 2. Encroachments into yards does not diminish light and air because of arrangement of buildings. 3. Applicant agreed to dedicate a triangle of land at the intersection of the alleys to the City of Seal Beach to provide improved traffic conditions. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does hereby approve Variance V-23-69 subject to the condition of dedication of a triangle of land as stated in finding No.3. ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 4th day of June, 1969. ~ ;;( (!_._ O.
