HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Res 329 - 1969-06-04 . . . RESOLUTION NO. 329 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH DENYING USE VARIANCE UV-4-69 TO OPERATE A KENNEL IN AN R-l ZONE. (LOGAN) WHEREAS, in the matter of Use Variance Application UV-4-69, the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does report as follows: 1. Subject application was initiated by Mrs. Gordon R. Logan, 312 Harvard Lane. 2. Subject property is described as Lot 13, Tract 5723. 3. Subject request was to permit operation of a dog kennel in an R-l Zone. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission findings are as follows: 1. One written protest was received and many oral protests were made citing the improper use of the zone, effect on property values, and setting a precedent. 2. Article 16, Section 1600, Paragraph 6, was cited from the City Code which excludes kennels from any "R" or "c" zone. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Use Variance UV-4-69 is denied based on the findings above. .
