HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Res 342 - 1969-07-02 . . . . . RESOLUTION NO. 342 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH APPROVING VARIANCE NO. V-25-69 FOR A SECOND STORY ENCROACHMENT INTO THE REAR YARD. (CHISWELL) WHEREAS, in the matter of Variance Application No. V-25-69, the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does report as follows: 1. Subject application was initiated by Wallace E. Chiswell, 135 14th St., Seal Beach. 2. Subject property is described as Lot 35, Block 13, Bay City Tract. 3. Subject proposal is to permit the second story to encroach into the rear yard setback. In addition, the existing three car garage encroaches one foot into the required rear yard. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission findings are as follows: 1. Many similar variance for the second story encroachment have been allowed. 2. This proposal would not be detrimental to the General Plan. 3. Existing on-site parking meets the requirements for two units. To prevent future conversion of the front unit into additional units without sufficient parking, a covenant shall be executed limiting the total number of allowable units to two. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does approve Variance V-25-69 subject to the condition stated in Finding" No. 3 above.
