RESOLUTION NO. 349 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL THE RENAMING OF LOS ALAMITOS BOULEVARD FROM THE SAN: DIEGO-GARDEN GROVE FREEWAY TO THE NORTH CITY LIMITS AT BRADBURY ROAD TO "SEAL BEACH BOULEVARD." WHEREAS, in the matter of the proposed renaming of Los Alamitos Boulevard, the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does report as follows: 1. Subject proposal was initiated by the Planning Commission following a request from the City Manager to investigate possible changes of street names. 2. Proper legal notices were posted in required locations to consider changing the name of Los A1amitos Boulevard to Seal Beach Boulevard on July 3, 1969. 3. Public hearing for subject proposal was held on July 15, 1969. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission findings are as follows: 1. One written communication was received fromJthe owners of the Rossmoor Business Center. This letter supported the porposed name change. 2. No oral comments were made for or against the proposal. 3. The proposed name change will assist in identifying the City at freeway off- ramps, and will tend to tie together various parts of the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does hereby recommend to the City Council that the name of Los A1amitos Boulevard from the San Diego-Garden Grove Freeway to the north city limits at Bradbury Road be changed to Seal Beach Boulevard to provide better city identification for all areas of the City.
