HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Res 364 - 1969-10-01 . . . .. . . RESOLUTION NO. 364 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH APPROVING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. CP-2-69 FOR CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION OF A PRIVATE TENNIS CLUB. (BIXBY) WHEREAS, in the matter of Conditional Use Permit application No. CP-2-69, the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does report as follows: 1. Subject application was initiated by Bixby Ranch Co., 911 Studebaker Rd., Long Beach. 2. Subject property is located across Lampson Avenue from the Old Ranch Country Club (6801 Lampson Ave.). Legal description on file. 3. Subject proposal is for construction and operation of a private tennis club. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission.findings are as follows: 1. The C-2 Zone was determined to be a proper zone for a private tennis club subject to the approval of a conditional use permit. 2. A portion of the club is located on R-3 zoned property, but since it abuts a freeway is an undesirable location for quality multi-family housing. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does hereby approve the Conditional Use Permit CP-2-69 for construction and operation of a tennis club according to the plans submitted and to approve a Use Variance for the portion of the club located on the property zoned R-3.
