RESOLUTION NO. 365
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH APPROVING VARIANCE
NO. V-29-69 TO PERMIT CONSTRUCTION OF AN
ENCLOSED PATIO TO ENCROACH INTO THE REAR
YARD SETBACK. (COLAMGNICO)
WHEREAS, in the matter of Variance Application No. V-29-69, the Planning Commission
of the City of Seal Beach does report as follows:
1. Subject application was initiated by Imperial Metal Products, 18331 Gothard Ave.,
Huntington Beach.
2. Subject property is described as Lot 26 of Tract 6175. The street address is
3561 Fern Circle.
3. Subject requests construction of an enclosed patio which would encroach the
required 10' rear yard setback by 6~ feet.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission findings are as follows:
1. The lot is irregular in shape, being located on a cul-de-sac.
2. Excluding the area of encroachment, the rear yard will still average more
than 10 feet.
3. Subject is aware that Southern California Edison Company has a six foot
easement across the rear of the property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Seal
Beach does hereby approve Variance V-29-69. subject to the condition that the
easterly end of the patio~not extend beyond the east side of the kttchen window
and that the patio be constructed of screen or glass and not be become a permanent
enclosure.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 1st day of October.
