RESOLUTION NO. 367 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH MAKING A DETERMINATION OF THE ON-SITE PARKING REQUIREMENT FOR BEAUTY SALONS. WHEREAS, in the matter of the proper number of on-site parking spaces for beauty salons, the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does report as follows: 1. The number of on-site parking spaces for beauty salons is not specifically designated in the Seal Beach Zoning Code. 2. A request for a determination of the number of on-site parking spaces for a beauty salon has been received from Mr. Alan B. Skuba of Pampered Lady, Inc., 1855 Ivanhoe, La Jolla, California. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission findings are as follows: 1. Beauty Salons create a high volume of traffic and require larger parking facilities than the average service shop. 2. Number of parking spaces should be in direct ratio\to the number of operators. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does hereby determine that two (2) on-site parking spaces per operator is considered the minimum acceptable for a beauty salon, and does recommend that the City Council approve said determination. ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 1st day of October, 1969.
