RESOLUTION NO. 374
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF SEAL BEACH DENYING PLAN REVIE\~ NO. PR-33-69 TO
INSTALL A BILLBOARD AT THE HARBOR SERVICE STATION
(FRED FIEDLER & ASSOCIATES)
WHEREAS, in the matter of Plan Review PR-33-69 the Planning Commission
of the City of Seal Beach does report as follows:
1. Subject request initiated by Harbor Service Stations, Inc., 1726
South Del Mar Avenue, San Gabriel, California.
2. Subject property legally described as Lots 30, 32, 34 and 36,
Block 213, Tract No. 10.
3. Subject proposal is for the approval of a billboard at the North
East corner of the site.
WHEREAS, the Blanning Commission findings are as follows:
1. A variance would have to be applied for since the signin~ on the
site is over twice the allowable amount by code standards. (416 sq.
ft. vs. snd allowed 200 sq. ft.)

2. With a general sign ordinance in the draffing stage, which would
exclude billboards, the Planning Commission advised the applicant
aRainst filing for a variance to allow the installation of a bill-
board at the site.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City
of Seal Beach does hereby deny Plan Review PR-33-69 for the installation
of a billboard at the Harbor Service Station on Pacific Coast Highway.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 5th day of November, 1969.
