RESOLUTION NO. 379
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH APPROVING VARIANCE
APPLICATION V-36-69 FOR SECOND STORY
ENCROACHMENT INTO THE REQUIRED REAR YARD
(DORR) :
WHEREAS, in the matter of Variance Application V-36-69 the
Planning Commission of the C1ty of Seal Beach does report as
foil!lows:
1. Subject case was init1ated by Mr. & Mrs. Newman Dorr and
Julie Dorr of 231 sixth Street, Seal Beach.
2. Subject property is described as Lot 31 and southerly 10
feet of Lot 33, Block 105, Bay City Tract, Seal Beach,
Orange County.
3. Subject requests a four foot encroachment of the second story
into the rear yard setback.

WHEREAS, the Planning Commission findings are as follows:
1. Similar variances have been permitted in the past for second
story encorachments into the rear yard.
2. The parking requirement is met, with three on-site parking
spaces for two units.
3. No written or oral protests were received.
4. The additional unit contains two bathrooms.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of
the City of Seal Beach does hereby approve Variance No. V-36-69
subject to the condition that a covenant between the applicant
and the city be recorded with the county stating that the number
of units on the lot shall not exceed two. This agreement shall
run with the property and be in effect until such time as the
code might be changed.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 19th day of November, 1969.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
adopted at a regular meeting of the Planning Commission of
the City of Seal Beach which was held on Wednesday, November 19,
1969, and carried by the following vote:
