RESOLUTTON NO. 387
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNIPG COM}IJSSION OF THE CITY
OF SEAL BEACH DENYING PLAN REVJEW NO. PR-36-69 FOR
A 60 FOOT HJGII FLAG POLE AT TilE BEU.IONT SAVINGS AND
LOAN SITE IN THE LEISURE WORLD SHOPPING CENTER.
I~EREAS, in the matter of Plan Review PR-36-69 the Plannin~ Commission of the
City of Seal Beach does report as follows:
1. Subject request initiated by Belmont Savin~s and Loan Association of 5200
E. Second Street, Long Beach, with Mr. Robert Borders, Architect, as their
authorized representative.
2. Subject property is located at 2999 Westminster Avenue in the City of Seal
Beach.
3. Subject requests a 60 foot high flag pole at tbe site.
l'mEREAS, the Planning Commission findings are as follows:
1. The original plans called for two 30 foot flag poles.
2. The Leisure World Shoppin~ Center and Development are loy profile, usually
only one story in heighth.
3. The Federal Post Office on the adjoining parcel has a 30 foot high fla~ pole.
4. A flag pole 45 feet in heighth was suggested,as being more in scale with the
surrounding area.
5. The applicant indicated that 60 feet was not incompatible with the surrounding
area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Seal
Beach does hereby deny Plan Review No. PR-36-69.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 17th day of December, 1969.
