HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Res 499 - 1970-11-04 . . . . . , RESOLUTION NO. 499 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF TilE CITY OF SEAL BEACH APPROVING A ONE YEAR CONTINUANCE OF VARIANCE V-38-69 TO PERMIT TANDEM PARKING AND A SECOND STORY ENCROACHMENT INTO THE REAR YARD OF A PROPOSED DUPLEX. (DURNIN) \~IEREAS, in the matter of a one year time continuance of Variance No. V-38-69, the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does report as follows: 1. Subject request was initiated by Dr. and Mrs. William Durnin, 1757 Pacific Avenue, Long Beach. 2. Subject property is legally described as Lot 38, Block 7, Bay City Tract. 3. Subject requests a one year continuance of Variance V-38-69 to permit tandem parking and a second story encroachment into the rear yard of a proposed duplex. WIlEREAS, the Planning Commission findings are as follows: 1. A written request was received from Dr. Durnin asking for a one year extension of Variance V-38-69 (Res. 386) because of difficulty in securing financing. 2. Zoning Ordinance provisions stipulate that unless othen_ise specified, variance approval is granted for a period of ti~e not to exceed one year. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does hereby approve a request for a one year continuance of Variance V-38-69. ADOPTED AND APPROVED THIS 4th day of November, 1970.
