Co~ission of the City of Seal Beach does report as follows: 1. Subject application was initiated by John C. "orrow, 247 R 17th Street, Seal Beach. 2. Subject property is described as Lot 43, Dlock 219, Tract No. 10, known as 247 17th Street. 3. Subject request is to permit a recently constructed six foot fence to remain within the front yard setback. The fence is approxiPlately 8" from the front property line. \~IEREAS, the Planning Commission findings are as follows: 1. Codes prohibit a fence over 42" in heir-ht in the front yard setback. 2. The fence was erected without knowledr-e of the regulation. . 3. Other non conforming fences exist in the City. 4. The fence defeats the purpose of the front yard setback, and would obstruct the neighbors view. NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does hereby on the basis that it would constitute a special priv1ler-e and could set a precedent. deny Variance Application No. V-12-70.
