A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF SEAL BEACH APPROVING VARIANCE V-7-70, ELONGATION
OF AN EXISTING SIDEYARD ENCROACHMENT. (WHIDDEN)
WHEREAS, in the matter pf Variance Application No. V-7-70, the Planning Commission
of the City of Seal Beach does report as follows:
1. Subject proposal was initiated by W. R. Whidden, 122 14th St., Seal Beach.
2. Subject property is described as Lot 22, Block 14, Bay City Tract.
3. Subject proposal is to elongate an existing encroachment into the sideyard
for a distance of six feet to permit remodeling and modernization of the
front of the building to blend with architecture of a new portion at the rear.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission findings are as follows:
1. No protests, written or oral, were received.
2. Proposed remodeling would be an improvement in the neighborhood and not be
detrimental to the General Plan.
3. Additional encroachment will not impede the view or access of neighboring
properties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Seal
Beach does hereby approve Variance V-7-70 as submitted.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 1st day of April, 1970.
