RESOLUTION NO. 410
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH MAKING A
DETERMINATION OF THE PROPER ZONE FOR A
BILLIARD PARLOR.
WHEREAS, in the matter of the proper zone for location of a
billiard parlor the Planning Commission of the City of Seal
Beach does report as follows:
1. The use "Billiard parlor" is not designated specifically
in the Seal Beach Zoning Ordinance (No. 628).
2. A request for permission to use a portion of the site
at 311 Main Street, legally descrrbed as Lots 1, 3, 5, 7,
13, and 15, Block 209, Stanton & Lothians First Addition.

WHEREAS, the Planning Commission findings are as follows:
1. The logical zone for placement of the use "Billiard Parlor"
is the C-2 General Commercial Zone.
2. Because of the nature of this use and the need to consider the
effects of such a business on the surrounding area, it is de~ermined
that such use be subject to the issuance of a Conditional Use Permit
therefore as prescribed in Article 20 of Ordinance No. 628.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning commission of the
City of Seal Beach does hereby determine that the proper zone for
the use "Billiard Parlor" is the C-2 Zone, but subject to the
issuance of a Conditional Use Permit, and does recommend that the
City Council approve said determination.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 18th day of March, 1970.
