RESOLUTION NO 582
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SEAL BEACH APPROVING VARIANCE V-28-71
TO ALLOW TANDEM PARKING TO MEET THE OFF-STREET
PARKING REQUIREMENT (ROBERTS/POTTER)
WHEREAS, 1n the matter of Var1ance Apphcat10n V-28-71, the Plann1Dg CODIDU.SS10n
of the C1 ty of Seal Beach does report as follows
1 SubJ ect case was 1n1 t1ated by Bruce Roberts, 16432 Ladona, Hunt1ngton Beach,
WJ.th Gary D Potter act1ng as author1zed agent
2 SubJect property descnbed as Lot 33, Block F, Tract No 1, known as 1611
Seal Way
3 SubJect request lS to permlt one set of tandem park1ng stalls and one
add1t1onal standard park1ng space to be acceptable as requ1red off-street
parklng
WHEREAS, the Plannlng Commlss1on flndlDgS are as follows
1 Two two-bedroom unlts would have a total parklng requlrement of three Thu
J.S phyS1Cally 1mposslble on a 25 foot lot unless tandem .!'paces are prov1ded
2 Var1ance requests of a slmllar nature have been granted prevlously
3 A double garage door rather than two slngles WJ.th centerpost would 1ncrease

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Plann1ng Comm1sslon of the C1ty of Seal
Beach does hereby approve Var1ance v-28-71 subject to the condlt1ons lmposed by
the C1ty Eng1neer, than plans be rev1sed to lnclude a double garage door, and
that a land use agreement be recorded and flled wlth the Clty Clerk st1pulatlng
that the tandem spaces would rema1n open and access1ble for vehlcles only, and
that the total number of unlts not exceed two
