RESOLUTION NO. 512
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SEAL BEACH DENYING VARIANCE V-1-7l
FOR AN ENCROACHMENT INTO THE REAR YARD SETBACK.

W11ERFAS, in the matter of Var1ance App11cation No. V-1-7l, the Planning Comm1SS1on
of the City of Seal Beach doe~ report as follows
1. Sublect case was initiated by Dr. and Mrs. S. Wise, 104 Harvard Lane, Seal
Beach, with J. Ronald Burns act1ng as authorized agent.
2. ~ubJect property is descr1bed as Lot 98, Tract 5847, otherw1se known as 104
Harvard Lane.
3. SubJect request iq for a 2' 11" encroachment of l1v1ng quarterq into a
portion of the 10' rear yard setback.
WHEREAS, the Plann1ng CommiSS1on f1ndings are as follows'
1. Strict app11cation of the Code required 10 foot rear yard setback would not
cause undue hardship on the applicant.
2. Approving the app11cant's request would const1tute a grant1ng of spec1al
pr1v1lege.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the C1ty of Seal
Beach does hereby deny Variance V-1-7l.
