RESOLUTION NO. 713 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH AMENDING ARTICLE 15B AND SECTION 1801.1 OF ZONING APPENDIX RELATED TO DISTRICT III AND RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY. WHEREAS, in the matter of Amending Article 15B amd Section 1801.1, the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does report as follows: 1. The provisions in the Zoning Appendix to the City eDde relating to D1strict III, Surfside are contained 1n two areas; Article 15B and Section 1801.1. 2. In tbe interest of clarity and uniformity the provisions contained in exhibit "A" . are proposed asllmendments to Article 15B and Section 1801.1 of the Zoning Appendix to the City Code. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission findings are as follows: 1. The required public hearing were advertised by posting 2. Public hearings were held and the public was invited to speak 3. Surfside Colony Board of Directors spoke in favor of the proposed amendments contained in exhibit "A". 4. The proposed amendments contained in exhibit "A" further clarify and standardize the provisions for District III. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does hereby approve the amendments contained in exhibit "A" and recommend to the City Council the adoption jf the amendments. ADOPTED AND APPROVED th1s 20th of December, 1972. Proposed amendments to Zonlng AppendlX relatlng to Distrlct III. Paragraph 2 of' Sec..-1501B, Ya:L"d Requuements, in Artlcle 15B, shall be amended to read as f'ollows: ~- "2. Slde yard:- A garage or carport shall :nalntaln a zero sldeyard setback on the westerly slde and a flve (5) foot sldeyard setback on the easterly slde of' any lot." Subparagraph (4) of' Paragraph A. -Zonlng, of Sec. 1801.1 ln Artlcle 18, shall be amended by the deletlon of the last two sentences WhlCh read as follows "The zero betback slde yarcls shall be on the easterly slde of all lots zoned S-P. The 5' setback Slde yards shall be on the westerly slde on all lots zoned S-P."
