V-58-72 FOR A POOL IN THE REQUIRED FRONT YARD SETBACK AND A FENCE OF SIX FEET IN HEIGHT IN THE FRONT YARD WHEREAS, in the matter of V-58-72, the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does report as follows: 1. Subject case initiated by Richard Loupe, 729 South Shore Drive, Seal Beach. 2. Subject property described as Lot 3, Tract 2590 (729 South Shore Drive). 3. Subject proposal is to construct a swimming pool in the required fron yard setback and to construct a six foot high fence in the front yard. WHEREAS, The Planning Commission findings are as follows: 1. Concern was expressed over safety with a pool in a front yard. 2. A six foot high fence located in the front yard of the subject property could pose sight clearance problems for neighbors backing out onto South Shore Drive. 3. The Planning Commission was concerned over the undesirable precedent of allowing a pool in the front yard. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Couunission of the City of Seal Beach does hereby deny V-58-72 for the reasons shown in findings 1-3 above.
