RESOLUTION NO, 687 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH REPORTING AND RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL THE ADOPTION OF A PROPOSED LANDSCAPE ORDINANCE WITH CERTAIN MODIFICATIONS. WHEREAS, in the matter of Landscape Maintenance Ordinance, the Planning Commiss1on of the City of Seal Beach does report as follows: 1. On August 14, 1972, the City Council considered a landscape ordinance. 2. The City Council requested that the Planning Commission study the proposed ordinance and make recommendations back to the Council. 3. On September 6, 1972, the Planning Commiasion studied the proposed ordinance. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission findings are as follows: 1. The proposed ordinance does not differentiate between developed and vacant land; it is suggested the ordinance apply to developed property. 2. It is suggested that the proposed ordinance apply to residentially zoned property since variety exiats in the landscaping of commercial properties. 3. It is suggested that under Section 14-22 (2) the words "abandoned and/or dismantled vehicles" be added. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Plann1ng Commission of the City of Seal Beach does hereby report and recommend to the City Council adoption of the proposed landscape ordinance with the changes and/or additions contained in "findings" I, 2, & 3. ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 20th I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted at a regular meeting of the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach which was held on Wednesday, Sep~ember 20, 1972, and carried by the following vote: AYES: NOES: ABSENT : ABSTAIN: Hammond, Knapp, Lanning, Ripperdan Commissioners: Commissioners: Commissioners: Commissioners: Dunn, None None None ~~~ Secretary of the PIa ing Commission
