RESOLUTION NO. 679
A RESOLUTION OF THB PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CJn! OF SEAL
BEACH APPROVING VARIANCE NO. v-42-72 TO PERMIT A 6 UNIT
BUILDING IN R-3 ZONE WITH VARIANCE FOR COLUMN ENCROACHMENT
WITH REQUIRED SIDE YlUID & PARTIAL OBSTRUCTION OF 24'

WHEREAS, in the matter of Variance Application Bo. V-42-72, the Plannin~
Commission of the City of Seal Beach does report as follows:
1. Subject case initiated bv Ponald Prather.6085 Jeffrev Mask St., Cypress
2. Subject property described as Lots 33 & 35, Block 9, Bay City Tract
(133 10th St.)
3. Subject proposal is to contruct a 6 unit' apartment buildin~ with
column encroachments in required side yards and partial obstruction
of 24' turning radius.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission findings are as follows:

Parking spaces appear usable as proposed
Placing of the columns 3' from the property line would not obstruct
parking and would add a margin of safety by keep1ng structures off
the property line.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City-of
Beach does hereby approve V-42-72 with the followinv, conditions:
Columns be 3' from property line with protected steel sheeting
Compliance with engineering conditions
Compliance with fire department condition~
Land use agreement limiting units to 6. parking to remain open for
vehicle parking and inspection
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 6th day of September 1972.
