HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Res 670 - 1972-09-06 . . . . . .. ~ RESOLUTION NO. 670 A RESOLUTION OF TRE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH APPROVING VARIANCE V-33-72 TO PERMIT STRUCTURAL ALTERATIONS TO A NONCONFORMING BUILDING IN THE C-2 ZONE. (BANK OF AMERICA) WHEREAS. in the matter of Variance Application No. V-33-72. the Planning Commission of the City of Sesl Beach does report as follows: 1. Subject case initiated by Bank of America. 1335 S. Grand Ave.. Los Angeles. 2. Subject property described as Lots 6 and 8. Block 109. Bay City Tract. and is commonly known as 208 Main Street. 3. Subject proposal is to add a walk-up banking window to a nonconforming building and remove one parking space. Building is nonconforming due to less than required number of parking spaces. WHEREAS. the Plann1ng Commission findings are as follows: 1. Code requires 28 parking spaces. There exist 22 spaces and the proposal would remove one existing space. 2. Planning Commission was of the opinion that existing parking was used. 3. Walk-up window could alleviate some parking problems for the bank since the applicant's agent indicated that the addition of the walk-up window would extend banking hours allowing people to bank at least one hour later in the evening. NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Co_ission of the City of Seal Beach does hereby approve V-33-72 subject to the condition that additional planter boxes be placed in parking area. ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 6th day of September. 1972. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted at a regular meeting of the Planning Collllllission of the City of Seal Beach which was held on Wednesday.
