A RESOLUTION OF TIlE PLANNING COMMISSION OF TIlE
CITY OF SEAL BEACH APPROVING AND RECOMMENDING
TO THE CITY COUNCIL THE ADOPTION OF AN AMENDMENT
TO ORDINANCE 628 (ZONING) DEFINING RESTAURANT,
RESTAURANT SEMI-ENCLOSED, AND RESTAURANT WALK-UP/
TAKE-OUT AND ESTABLISHING GENERAL REQUmEMENTS FOR
SAID USES WHERE NOT PRESENTLY DEFINED.
WHEREAS, in the matter of a proposed amendment to the Zoning Appendix of the
Seal Beach City Code, the Planning Camnission of the City of Seal Beach does
report as follows:
1. Various types of eating establJ.shments are not clearly defined in the
Seal Beach City Code.
WHEREAS, the Planning Camnission findings are as follows:
1. There is a need for distinctive definitions of "Restaurant," "Restaurant
Semi-Enclosed," and "Restaurant Walk-Up/Take-out."
2. "Restaurant Semi-Enclosed" and Restaurant Walk-Up/Take-out" are not
specified as an allowable use in any specific zone.
3. A public hearing was held before the Planning Commission regarding the
proposed amendment (See Exhibit A attached) on April 19, 1972.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Camnission of the CJ. ty of Seal
Beach does hereby approve and recamnend to the City Council the adoption of an
amendment to ArtJ.cles 2, 10 and 17 of the Zoning Appendix of the Seal Beach City
Code related to Restaurants, Restaurants Semi-Enclosed and Restaurants Walk-up/
Take-out as proposed J.n the attached Exhibit A.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted at a regular
meeting of the Planning CamnissJ.on of the City of Seal Beach which was held on
Wednesday, April 19, 1972, and carried by the following vote:
