RESOLUTION NO. 624 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH DETERMINING THE PARKING REQUIREMENTS FOR NURSERIES FOR HORTICULTURAL STOCK. WHEREAS, in the matter of parking requirements for nurseries, the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does report as follows: 1. There are no provisions in the zoning appendix of the city code for parking requirements for nurseries for horticultural stock. WHEREAS, the Planning COIIDIIission findings are as follows: 1. There is a difficulty in determining gross floor area of building or buildings for a nursery operation; i.e.. whether or not greenhouses, slat houses and hot houses qualify as buildings. 2. It is felt that a parking requirement based upon gross lot area rather than building area would be a better standard. 3. A parking requirement of 1 parking space for each 2500 square feet of gross lot area should provide sufficient off-street parking. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning COIIDII1ssion of the Cl.ty of Seal Beach does hereby determine that one parkl.ng space for each 2500 square feet of gross lot area be established as the requirement for nurseries for horticultural stock subject to approval by the City Council. ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 5th day of April, 1972. / ,~-~ -- I hereby certify that the foregol.ng resolution was duly adopted at a regular meeting of the Planning COIIDIIission of the Cl.ty of Seal Beach which was held on Wednesday, April 5, 1972, and carried by the following vote: AYES: NOES: ABSENT : Dunn.
