RESOLUTION NO. 779 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING CO~ISSION OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH APPROVING APPEAL A-2-73 AND RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL APPROVAL OF THE APPEAL AND DENIAL OF VARIANCE V-22-73 (MILLARD/SURFSIDE COLONY) WHEREAS, in the matter of Appeal A-2-73, the Planning CoDDDission of the City of Seal Beach does report as follows: 1. Subject appeal initiated by Surfside Colony, Ltd.. P.O. Box 235. Surfs ide , CA. 2. Subject property described as Lot 49, Block B, Surfside, commonly known as B49 Surfside. 3. Subject appeal is to Planning Commission approval of Variance V-22-73 granted to Maurice Millard for a garage in excess of the ten foot maximum height limit on the Southern Pacific property in Surfs1de. 4. The basis for the appeal is that the proposed garage would exceed the maximum height of other garage structures on the S.P. property. WHEREAS. the Planning Commission findings are as follows: 1. On August 27 the City Council referred the matter of Appeal A-2-73 to the Planning CODDDission. 2...The property owner of B49 Surfs1de desired to add a safety railing to the top of the garage thus raising the proposed height to 17+ feet. 3. The proposed 17+ foot height would far e31:ceed the height of other garages on the S.P. property of Surfside. NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning CODDDission of the City of Seal Beach does hereby recommend to the City Council approval of Appeal A-2-73 and denial of Variance V-22-73.
