A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF
THE CUT OF SEAL BEACH APPROVING CONDITIONAL
USE PERMIT CP-7-73 FOR THE CONVERSION OF A
FIRE STATION INTO A CHURCH IN THE R-J-PD ZONE.
(ROSSHOOR CORP./CHRISTIAN SCIENCE)
WHEREAS. in the matter of Conditional Use Permit No. CP-7-73. the Planning
CoDDDission of the City of Seal Beach does report as follows:
1. Subject case initiated by BDssmoor Corporation. 13560 St. Andrews. Seal Beach,
with the Christian Science Society as the authorized representative.
2. Subject property described as 1515 Northwood Rd. Legal description on file.
3. Subject proposal is to couvert a fire station to a church in the R-3-PD Zone.
WHEREAS, the Planning CoDDDission findings are as follows:
1. Proposed parking layout has been approved by Golden Rain Foundation.
2. Proposed use is compatible with other surrounding uses.
NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning CoDDDission of the City of Seal
Beach does hereby approve Conditional Use Permit No. CP-7-73 subject to the
following conditions:
1. Approval to be effective subject to action by the City Council of the City
of Seal Beach declaring subject property as surplus and releasing all City
interests in said property.
2. Recordation of an easement for parking purposes or some other suitable
arrangement which would be acceptsble to the staff to insure that adequate
parking would be maintained for the proposed church.
3. Parking space length to be 20 feet deep.
4. Landscaping plsns be submitted to the satisfaction of the staff.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 5th day of September. 1973.
