RESOLUTION NO. 764
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH APPROVING V-22-73
FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A GARAGE IN EXCESS OF
TEN FEET IN HEIGHT IN SURFSIDE COLONY.
(MILLARD)
WHEREAS, in the matter of Variance Application No. V-22-73, the Planning Commission
of the City of Seal Beach does report as follows:
1. Subject case initiated by Maurice Millard, 4312 Beeman Ave., Studio City.
2. Subject property described ss Lot 49, Block B, Surfside Colony, and known
as B-49, Surfside.
3. Subject propossl J.S to construct a garage J.n excess of 10 feet in height on
the Southern Pacific property.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission findings are as follows:
1. A large recreatJ.onal vehicle cannot be parked in a garage of conventional
height.
2. It is desJ.rable to park all vehicles in garages and off streets.
. 3. Accessory structures in onher districts of Seal Beach may be lS feet high.
4. The proposal is for a garage of 13'9" in height.
S. Other garages in Surfside are built to a similar height.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the CJ.ty of Seal
Beach does hereby approve V-22-73 subject to the condition that eaves not project
past the bearJ.ng walls.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 1st day of August, 1973.
