A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SEAL BEACH APPROVING VARIANCE V-18-73
FOR THE CONVERSION OF AN EXISTING NONCONFORMING
MOTEL IN THE C-l ZONE TO RETAIL STORES AND
OFFICES WITH NO LOADING ZONE. (TAYLOR/KIlSSO)
WHEREAS, in the matter of VariSllce Application No. V-l8-73, the Planning Commission
of the City of Sesl Beach does report as follows:
1. Subject case initiated by Wayne H. Taylor, 319 Seal Besch Blvd., Seal Beach,
with Frank Musso, 301 Ocean Ave., as the authorized representative.
2. Subject property described as Lots 11, 13, lS, 17, 19, 21, 23, 2S, and 27,
Block 217, Tract No. 10, aDd c~nly known as 319 Seal Beach Blvd.
3. Subject proposal is to convert an existing nonconforming motel in the C-l
Zone into retail stores and offices with no loading zone.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission findings are as follows:
1. All access to property is from Seal Beach Blvd. and sufficient area exists
for a loading zone in the existing drive areas.
2. Proposed signing is generally in conforlRSllce with other surrounding signing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning eo-ission of the City of Seal
Beach does hereby approve Variance V-18-73 subject to the conditions that the
No. 2 "L" shaped sign be deleted and compliance with engineering conditions,
landscaping plans to satisfaction of staff, and parking area and drive aisles
be paved with portland cement concrete or asphaltic concrete.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this Sth day of July, 1973.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly sdopted at a regular
meeting of the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach which was held on
Thursday, July S, 1973, and carried by the following vote:
