HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Res 744 - 1973-05-16 . . . . e RESOLUTION NO. 744 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH DENYING VARIANCE V-l3-73 FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A ! 7' UNIT APARTMENT COMPLEX WITH LESS THAN REQUIRED PARKING. WlIEREAS, in the matter of Variance Application No. V-l3-73, the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does report as follows: l. Subject case initiated by W. Siverson, C-20 Surfside. 2. Subject property deacribed as Lots S and 6 and 1/2 of Lot 7, Block 3, Bay City Tract, more commonly known aa 3ll Ocean Ave. 3. Subject proposal is to construct a 7 unit apartment complex with less than required parking. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission findings are as follows: 1. Applicant had obtained Planning Commission approval for the project in September, 1972 by PR-13-72. 2. New parking requirements went into effect shortly after the subject approval and Proposition 20 held up beginning of construction on the project. 3. Due to the code changes and posaible undesirable precedent that could be established, it would be undesirable for the community to permit a reduction in the number of required parking spaces. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does hereby deny Variance V-l3-73. ADOPTED AND APPROVED thia 16th day of May, 1973.
