A RESOWTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SEAL BEACH APPROVING CP-3-73 FOR AN
EIGHTY (80) FOOT SAIL TESTING SPAR ON THE ROOF
OF AN EXISTING BUILDING IN THE C-2 ZONE. (MILLER)
WHEREAS, in the matter of Conditional Use Permit Application No. CP-3-73, the
Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does report as follows:
l. Subject case initiated by Stan Miller, 245 Marina Drive, Long Beach.
2. Subject property described as Lots 5 and 6, Block 209. Bay View Tract,
and more commonly known as 913 Electric Avenue.
3. Subject proposal ia to erect an eight (80) foot high sail testing spar
on a twenty-six (26) foot tall building in the C-2 zone.
WHEREAS, the P:4nning Commission findings are as follows:
l. Applicant indicates the spar is needed to test sails.
2. Applicant indicated that the mast would be permanently anchored to the
roof by guy wires.
3. Mast would be used infrequently for short intervals of time.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Seal
Beach does hereby approve Conditional Use Permit CP-3-73.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 4th day of April, 1973.
