729
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SEAL BEACH APPROVING CP-2-73 FOR AN
ADDITION TO A NONCONFORMING CHURCH BUILDING,
NONCONFORMING BY REASON OF LESS THAN REQUIRED
PARKING AND NO PREVIOUS CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT.
WHEREAS, in tile matter of Conditonal Use Pennt application No. CP-2-73, the PlBlll1ing
Commission of the City of Seal Beach does report as follows:
1. Subject case initiated by Raman Catholic Archbishop of Los Angeles, 1531 W.
9th St., Los Angeles.
2. Subject property described as 13900 Church Place, Leisure World, SEaJ. Beach.

3. Subject proposal is to construct an addition onto the rectory of a church
for which no Conditional Use Permit has been approved and having less than
required parking.
WHEREAS, the Planning CommisS1on findings are as follows:
1. No opposition was expressed to the proposaJ..
2. Applicant pointed out that the addition would not increase the usable space
of the church but rather applied only to the rectory.
3. Due to the hours of operation of Catholic Churches, parking does not seem
to be a problem. Services are held often during the ~ and sane parking
is available in the Leisure World Shopping Center.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the P1Blll1ing Commission of the City of
Seal Beach does hereby approve ConditionaJ. Use Permit Ro. CP-2-73.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 21st ~ of March, 1973.
