RESOLUTION NO. 723 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH APPROVING VARIANCE V-1-73, FOR A 3RD FLOOR ADDITION TO AN EXISTING NON-CONFORMING SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE IN SURFSIDE. (DEADEAOX) WlIEREAS, in the matter of Variance Application V-1-73, the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does report as follows: 1. Subject case initiated by Raul Deadeaux, 1430 So. Eastman, Los Angeles. 2. Subject property described aa Lot 39, Block B, Surfside (B-39 Surfside). 3. Subject proposal is to construct a 3rd story addition to an existinR non- conforming single family residence, non-conforming by reason of less than required yards, atructure in the rear yard and variance for a stairway and portion of a dwelling unit in the Southern Pacific property and two dwelling units on R-l property. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission f1ndings are as follows: 1. Proposed addition qualifies as a bachelor dwelling unit. 2. Applicant substituted a counter balance fire excape for a proposed stairway. NOI~, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does hereby approve Variance Application V-1-73, subject to the conditions: 1. Land Use Agreement limiting units to one (1), and annual inspection. 2. Fire stairs to remain in "Up" position. 3. Letter of approval from Southern Pacific be submitted. ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 21st day of February, 1973.
