Resolution No. 718 - 2
5. The proposed amendment would, in the opinion of the Planning Commission,
effectively raise the R-l, District II, lot coverage to 45% and in some cases
to above 45%.
6. The Planning Commission wis of the opinion that no matter what maximum lot
coverage provis1ons are 1n force, some developers will build to maximum
coverage and request additional coverage.
7. The Planning Commission restated their consensus that 40% coverage was a
desirable standard which has been satisfactory in Seal Beach and is a
standard in many other communities in the R-l zone.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Seal
Beach does hereby report back to the City Council that the Planning Commission
does not favor the proposed amendment and would reaffirm their previous findings
and recommendations contained in Resolution No. 703 dated November 15, 1972.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 3rd day of January, 1973.
