A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH DENYING VARIANCE APPLICATION V-16-72, FOR ENCROACI\MENT INTO THE REQUIRED REAR YARD SETBACK IN THE R-l ZONE OF DISTRICT II. WHEREAS, in the matter of Variance Application V-16-72, the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does report as follows: 1. Subject case initiated by Michael McGlone, 604 Island View Dr., Seal Beach, CA. 2. Subject property described as Lot 206, Tract 2590, (604 Island View Dr.) 3. Subject proposal is to construct a room addition with a 3~' encroachment into a portion of the required rear yard setback. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission findings are as follows: 1. It would be physically possible to construct a room of the requested size without encroaching into the required rear yard. 2. Lot and house are regular in shape and therefore do not qualify under the definition of hardsh1p for a variance. . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does hereby deny Variance Application V-16-72. ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 3rd day of January, 1973.
