A RESOLUTION OF THE PLArHlING CO~IMISSIOlj OF TflE
CITY OF SEAL BEACH DEflYING VARIANCE V-29-74 TO
PERMIT THREE PARKING STALLS OF LESS THAN REQUIRED
LENGTH AND LESS THAfl REQUIRED REAR YARD SETBACK
OIl A BUILDIflG UNDER CONSTRUCTION IN THE R-3 ZONE.

WHEREAS, ln the matter of Varlance Application V-29_74, the Plannlng Commission
of the City of Seal Ueach does report as follows:
1. SubJect case 1 nitl ated by Les Stuka 1 off, 2061 Rancho La ~lerced, COVl na, CA.
2. SubJect property is described as Lot 12 and 1/2 of Lot 14, Block 2, Bay
Clty Tract, and more commonly known as 112 2nd St.
3. SubJect proposal is for three parklng stalls of less than requlred length
and less than requlred rear yard setback on a four-unit bUlldlng under
constructlon ln the R-3 Zone.

WHEREAS, the Plannlng Commission flndlngs are as follows:
1. Petltlons in favor and ln opposltion to the variance were submltted to the
Plannlng Commisslon.
2. The bUllding was constructed ln vlolatlon of the zonlng ordlnance.
3. There appears to be no advantage to the appllcant ln constructing a buildlng
ln vlolation of the zoning ordlnance.
4. The Planning Commisslon was of the OplnlOn that the bUl1ding should be
constructed ln compliance wlth the zoning ordlnance.
NOW, THEREFORE, Bl IT RESOLVED that the Planning CommlSSlon of the Clty of Seal
Beach does hereby deny Varlance V-29-74.
AUOPTED AND APPROVED thlS 7th day of August, 1974.
