RESOLUTION NO. 836 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH APPROVING AND RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL ADOPTION OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND USE ELEMENT BY THE ADDITION OF DISTRICT VI WITH A REQUIREMENT OF 960 SQ. FT. OF LOT AREA PER DWELLING UNIT IN THE R-3 ZONE. WHEREAS, in the matter of amending the Land Use Element to the General Plan, the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does report as follows: 1. The Planning Commission and City Council recently adopted an amendment to the zoning ordinance creating a District VI consisting of the Rossmoor Business Center with a density requirement of 960 sq. ft. of lot area per dwelling unit in the R-3 zone. . 2. The Land Use Element to the General Plan does not contain provisions for this newly created district and the proposed densities. 3. In order to clarify the Land Use Element's R-3 provisions an amendment is proposed. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission findings are as follows: 1. The proposed amendment would be consistent with both annexation agreements between the City of Seal Beach and Rossmoor Business ,Center and adopted zoning. 2. It is proposed to amend the R-3 section of the Land Use Element by the addition of the underlined words on Exhibit "A" to page 19 of the Land Use Element to the General Plan. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does hereby approve and recommend to the City Council adoption of the amendment to the Land Use Element by the addition of District VI with a require- ment of 960 sq. ft. of lot area per dwelling unit in the R-3 zone.
