HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Res 832 - 1974-06-05 . . . . . , I RESOLUTION NO. 832 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH APPROVING V-IO-74 FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A NEIGHBORHOOD SHOPPING CENTER ON 2.3 ACRES OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT WESTl4INSTER AVENUE AND SEAL BEACH BOULEVARD WITH VARIANCE FOR NO ALLEY AT THE REAR OF THE PROPERTY. WHEREAS, in the matter of V-IO-74, the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does report as follows: 1. Subject case initiated by Norland Co., 1700 E. Imperial Hwy., El Segundo, CA. 2. Subject property is described as Parcel 2, Book 16, Page 41 of parcel maps (Vacant). 3. Subject proposal is to construct a neighborhood shopping center on a triangular shaped parcel of land with variance for no alley at the rear of the property. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission findings are as follows: 1. Project is compatible with surrounding land uses. 2. Shape and location of the parcel makes it difficult to provide an alley at the rear of the proper~. NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does hereby approve V-IO-74 subject to the following conditions: 1. Plan review on buildings and signing. 2. Rear ~f building facing Seal Beach Blvd. to be in architectual harmony with rest of building. 3. Landscaping plans to satisfaction of staff. 4. Conditions on page 17 and 18 of E.I.R. except landscaping of Water & Power property. ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 5th day of June, 1974.
