RESOLUTI ON NO. 828
A RESOLUTION OF THE..PLANIHlIG COMMISSION OF THE.:
CITY OF SEAL BEACH APPROVIIIG AND RECOf4MEtHlING
TI~T THE CITY COUNCIL CHANGE THE ZONE ON A 9+ ACRE
PARCEL OF LAND BOUIlDED BY 1ST STREET, MARINA DRIVE,
SAIl GABRIEL RIVER CHArmEL AND BEACH FROf.1 M-2 TO
R/C/P.
WHEREAS, in the matter of zone change from 11-2 to RICIP, the Planning Commission
of the City of Seal Beach does report as follows:
1. On October 29, 1973, the City Council adopted a Land Use Element to the
General Plan.
2. State Planning Law requires that zoning be consistent with the adopted
General Plan by January 1, 1974.
3. Existing zoning on a 9+ acre parcel of land bounded by 1st Street, tlarina
Drive, San Gabriel River Channel and beach is not consistent with the
adopted General Plan.
4. In order to comply with State Planning Law it is proposed that the zone be
changed on this parcel which does not comply with the General Plan.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission findings are as follows:

1. The proposed zone change has been advertised as required by law.
2. The proposed zone change complies with the Land Use Element as adopted by
the City Council Resolution flo. 2258 on October 29, 1973.
3. It is recommended that the City Council change the zone on the parcel
bounded by 1st Street, Marina Drive, San Gabriel River Channel and the beach.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Co~ission of the City of Seal
Beach does hereby reco11l1lend that the Ci ty Council change the zone on the
above described parcel to comply with the adopted Land Use Element of the City
of Seal Beach General Plan.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 1st day of May, 1974.
