RESOLUTION NO. 944 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH APPROVING V-20-75 FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A COMMERCIAL COMPLEX IN THE C-l ZONE WITH LESS THAN REQUIRED LOADING ZONE. (QUINN - SE CORNER ELECTRIC/MAIN) . WHEREAS, an application was duly filed by James Quinn, 100 Ocean Avenue, for a variance to permit construction of a commercial complex in the C-l zone with less than required loading zone; and WHEREAS, the property is legally described as portions of Lots 32 and 30 and 1/2 of Lot 28, Block 109, Bay City Tract; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission makes the following findings of hardship: 1. The property is irregular in shape with the narrowest width on the alley where they loading zone is required to be located. 2. Circumstances surrounding the property would constitute hardship. The city owns a portion of land approximately 17' x '23' adjacent to the alley which restricts the usability of the parcel. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Seal Beach does hereby approve V-20-75 subject to the following conditions: 1. Street trees to be installed to the satisfaction of the City Engineer. 2. Planning Commission recommend approval of the balcony to City Council. 3. All signing for the buildings to be wall mounted, carved wood, routed wood, or ~andblasted wO?d or other type as approved by the Planning Director. 4. All signing to be indirectly lighted.
