A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SEAL BEACH DENYING VARIANCE V-8-75
FOR A SECOND LEVEL PORCH EXTENSION INTO THE
SURFS IDE COLONY LEASED LAND. (HERRON)
An application was duly filed by Robert Herron, A-68, Surfside, for a variance
to permit a second level porch extension into the Surfside Colony leased land
1n:excess of the maximum permitted.
Th~ applicant's property is described as Lot 68, Block A, Surfside Colony,
a~d is more commonly known as A-68 Surfside.
Subject proposal is to construct a porch extension at the second level in order
to provide an extension that is 8' x ll~'.
The Planning Commission makes the following findings:
1. A public hearing was set and held before the Planning Commission as required
by 1 aw.
2. A number of letters and petitions were submitted both in favor and in
opposition to the application.
3. The subject extension was partially constructed without building permits
or city approvals.
4. No hardship exists due to shape, size, topography or location of the
subject property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Seal
Beach does hereby deny V-8-75.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of May, 1975.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted at a regular
meeting of the Planning Commission held on Wednesday, May 7, 1975, and carried
by the following vote:
