A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH DENYING VARIANCE
V-6-75 FOR A CONVENIENCE MARKET IN THE
C-l ZONE (MCGREW)
WHEREAS, an application was duly filed by Madge McGrew, Rt. 3, Box 290,
So. Altas Palmas Rd., Harlington, Texas; and
WHEREAS, the property is described as Lots 7, 8, 9, and 10, Block 8,
Bay City Tract and is vacant; and
WHEREAS, the proposal is to construct a convenience market with less
than required rear yard setback, joint use of parking and
loading areas and less than required parking; and
WHEREAS, petitions containing many signatures in opposition to the
variance were received; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was of the opinion that the proposed
development and variance requests were not warranted and no
hardship was demonstrated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission does hereby
deny Variance V-6-76.
PASSED AND APPROVED on April 16, 1975, by the following vote:
AYES: Lanning, Knapp, Cook, Ripperdan
NOES: Schmitt
