San Gabriel Ri~ Water Quality: Grayson reported that it had not been possible to contact the 'right sources for the information he had in mind. Potter ~!t:attention :",;" to a section from the minutes of the meeting held by the California Coastal Commissio~ covering 'their-meeting of April 1.5-17, 1980. It would appeared::to be a source of data-- which might be pertinent to some of the points :the Board. had in mind. Grayson will ex;Plore. . l, Projects: A brief review of projects was made. Particular attention was given~to the several airport studies. Willson will summarize for the next meeting. .~ ---- ----.. ---.- .. - NEW BUS INES.S .-- Election of Officers: It was announced the meeting was ~pen for nominations of Of~icers for the 1980-1981 term,pf' office. Potter nominated Grayson for ChairwAn. Grayson nominated Willson for ,Secretary; Moved and secande4 that nomination be closed. Carried. Grayson took over as Chairman. --, Tribute-,to DeForest:--Moved by Potter, seconded by Willson and approved that the _'____'_. following resolution be adopted: '- ",- ,"''-:" . Furthertmore;he contributed materially to its operation by his'~d knowleage and excellent judgment...\ ' - NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the.Board. extend to him its sincere appreciation and thanks for a job well done, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board.,routinely in the future, extend similar recognition' to deserving members on leaving the Board. EpA, publication warned that the Federal funds were nearing depletion to clean up ~ ~ -, / hazardous chemical and.,oil_spills.
