The Redevelopment Agency of the City of Seal Beach met In regular
session at 7:45 p.m. with Vice-Chairman McKnew calling the meeting
to order with th~ Salute to the Flag.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Sales moved, second by Holden to approve the minutes of the regular
meeting of August 27, 1973 as presented.

SELECTION OF CHAIRMAN
Hr. Dunn nominated Hr. Sales as the Chairman of the Redevelopment
Agency of the City of Seal Beach for the year 1973-74. Holden moved,
second by Dunn to close nominations and cast a unanimous ballot for
Mr. Sales as Chairman.

Mr. Sales was declared Chairman of the Redevelopment Agency for the
year 1973-74.
SELECTION OF VICE-CHAIRMAN
Mr. Blackman nominated Mr. McKnew as Vice-Chairman of the Redevelopment
Agency of the City of Seal Beach for the year 1973-74. Blackman moved,
second by Dunn to close nominations and cast a unanimous ballot for
Mr. McKnew as Vice-Chairman.

Mr. HcKnew was declared Vice-Chairman of the Redevelopment Agency for
the year 1973-74.
PACIFIC ELECTRIC RIGHT-OF-WAY,ACQUISITION
Mr. Courtemarche presented a letter from the Southern Pacific Land
Company and outlined the procedures for the acquisition of the
Pacific Electric Right-of-Way.
Holden moved, second by Blackman to (1) authorize the Executive
Director to execute the Deed of Trust for Parcel #1 (approximately
1.28 acres owned by Southern Pacific Transportation) and (2) to
authorize the Executive Director to execute the Deed of Trust for
Parcel #2 (approximately 5.89 acres owned by Seal Pacific, Ltd.) and
(3) authorize the Executive Director to execute the promissory note
for Parcel #2 contingent upon the review of all documents and
approval of same by the City Attorney as recommended by the
Executive Director in his memorandum dated September 24, 1973.
