Home My WebLink AboutRDA Min 1978-11-27 {?I?B Seal Beach, California November 27, 1978 The Redevelopment Agency of the City of Seal Beach met in regular session at 6:45 p.m. with Chairman Weir calling the meeting to order with the Salute to the Flag. Present: Chairman Weir Agency Members Gray, Kredell, Laszlo, Weir I ROLL CALL Absent: None Also present: Mr. Courtemarche, Executive Director Mr. Coughlan, City Attorney APPROVAL OF MINUTES Laszlo moved, second by Kredell, to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of October 24, 1978. AYES: NOES: Gray, Kredell, Laszlo, Seitz, Weir None Motion carried ORAL COMMUNICATIONS Chairman Weir declared oral communications open. Agency Member-Gray expressed his concern regarding certain aspects of the redevelopment of the Trailer Park and suggested that the Agency Chairman and the Agency member from the district which includes the Trailer Park, establish a meeting time with the Executive Director to discuss certain questions that he wished to pose. Mr. Gray suggested a review of four specific case files as a pilot program that would I indicate to the Agency the general direction of the project. Some specific areas for discussion suggested by Mr. Gray were: movability of cabanas, determinations that old trailers can not be upgraded, requirements of the square footage for replacement units, disposal of replaced trailers, size requirements for combination trailer/cabana replacement, requi'rements for awning replacement, possible small case payment i'n 1 ieu of cabana replacement, ownership of cabanas after being permanently placed If the tenant moves, and suggested a complete review of the Redevelopment Law. The Agency briefly discussed Mr. Gray's requests. Councilman Weir stated he would be unable to attend a meeting on Thursday as had been suggested, and recommended that Mr. Kredell and Mr. Gray meet with the Executive Director to discuss the questions presented. It was the consensus of the Agency that Mr. Gray and Mr. Kredell meet with Mr. Courtemarche and Ms. Shelton, Administrative Assistant, on Thursday, November 30th at 3:00 p.m. There were no other oral communications; Chairman Weir declared oral communications closed.
