ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
Chairman Gray declared oral communications open. Mr. Seitz asked
when the trailers stored at First Street and Marina Drive would be
removed from that area. Chairman Gray stated it was the intent that
those trailers be sold as soon as they could be somewhat repaired
and cleaned. Chairman Gray reported Seal Beach Associates have
contracted for the removal of the eucalyptus and cottonwood trees that
have posed safety problems at the Trailer Park. Mr. Austin, Trailer
Park resident, complained about a neighboring tool storage shed and
the location of utility service islands in the Trailer Park. Mr.
Jeffers, #8 Cottonwood Lane, spoke regarding communications to the
city requesting a public hearing before the Relocation Appeals
Board to discuss proposed rental increases in the Trailer Park.
It was clarified that no increased rents have been paid nor have they
been considered by the Agency to date. It was also noted that a sixty
day notice is required to be provided to Park residents prior to any
Increases. Mr. Jeffers also spoke regarding Trailer Park rules and
regulations, utility charges and a rental agreement received from
Trailer Park management. The Executive Director affirmed that he
has responded to all correspondence received from Mr. Jeffers and
his attorney. Mr. Scheele, resident of the Trailer Park, spoke
regarding the fence installation on First Street and HUD subsidy
payments. There were no other oral communications; Chairman Gray
declared oral communications closed.
