The Environmental Quality Control Board of the City of Seal Beach met in regular adjourned session in the City Council Chambers. The meeting was opened with Chairman Cunningham leading the Pledge of Allegiance. ROLL CALL Present: Absent: Also Present: Cunninghamt Harringtont Smedley Abramsont Killough (excused) Bill Little, City Staff Ed Woodt Civil Engineer MINUTES Motion by Smedley, seconded by Harringtont to approve the minutes of October 25t 1972. Motion is unanimously approved by those members present. BOARD ITEMS Chairman Cunningham introduced Agenda Item At Report on Drag Racing in College Park East. Secretary presents report prepared by the Police Department and indicates Board will be kept posted as to continuing progress or lack of it in coping with situation. Discussion follows. Discussion follows regarding motorcycle riding at undeveloped city park site at Heather and Lampson. Mr. \-Tood comments. Order of Chair to receive and file report. PUBLIC HEARINGS Chairman Cunningham opens public hearing on Item VI A, prepared Environmental Impact Report concerning Municipal Pier Improvements. Staff present report. Chair is concerned over possible illumination problems mentioned in report. Mr. Wood indicates that problems can be solved by mechanical means a~d that this also appears in report. No opposition is expressed by members of the audience. The Chair closes the hearing. Motion by Harringtont seconded by Smedley, in accordance with Council~anic pro- cedure, to accept the Environmental Impact Report for Municipal Pier Improvements. AYES: NOES: Cunningham, Harrington, Smedley None rJJotion carries. Chair opens public hearing on Item VI B, Staff prepared Environmental Impact Report on the Widening of Seal Beach Blvd.JNorth of the San Diego Freeway. Staff presents report. Motion by Smedley, seconded by Harrington, in accordance with Councilmanic pro- cedure to accept the Environmental Impact Report in question.
